Robert Al Harding received his Doctor of Music Education Degree from the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley, in 1986. Additional degrees include a Master of Music in Instrumental Music Education and a Bachelor of Music Education in Instrumental Music, both from Eastern New Mexico University, Portales. Dr. Harding has 32 years of teaching experience K-College. His specialty areas include general music (elementary and secondary), integrated arts education, instrumental music (6-12), low brass-euphonium, and philosophy of music. He serves as the music specialist on the UNC Integrated Arts Team as well as the Program Administrator for the UNC Orff-Schulwerk Summer Training.
Dr. Harding is an active clinician and researcher. He has presented research papers at both national and international conferences such as Colorado MENC research sessions, National MENC Research Sessions, and the Hawaii International Conference on Arts and Humanities. He work has been published in numerous publications. He has served as State Research Chair and the Collegiate MENC State Advisor for the Colorado Music Educators Association. Dr. Harding serves as a music consultant for the Center for Integrated Arts Education on the UNC campus and presents music education workshops for the Colorado Symphony.
